Bars are at 780mm, but the ends are constantly bashed from trees around here. Lever travel isn’t to big of a deal, pretty easy to get used to it. Brake levers are at 25*, and as long the bite point is the same I’m good. Surprisingly the weight of the coil didn’t make much difference, other than on the scale. Rough and loose stuff used to throw me around, but with coil it’s way smooth. Converting the bike to coil definitely changed the way it rode, it felt more purposeful. Also threw on a MRP Hazard with a SLS spring. I recently swapped the fork over to a Fox 36, and added a ACS3 kit from Push. I used to have this bike on a Lyrik and RS Super Deluxe, both air. She's got over 2,000 miles on her so far, hope to double that. I reach for this bike 90% of the time I ride. Lots of rocks, lots of steep, lots of elevation, dry, loose, rowdy. It's pretty much set up for Colorado/Utah riding, whose profiles look a lot like a lopsided pyramid. Tech-gnar, flow lines, jank, jumps, are all way more fun on this thing. That said, it definitely prefers being pointed downhill. It is coil sprung, with Double Down tires, and a pump and tool attached… It’s surprisingly good on more mellow terrain. It’s a bit heavier for those long days in the saddle. Other than being in shape, or doing all-day epics. It’s a lot of bike, for sure, but it pedals so damn well I don’t really have an excuse not to take it. Storage: OneUp EDC Tool and 70 cc pump on frameĮverything, it’s surprisingly versatile.
